Requirements and Delivery

Requirements
Participants should have some familiarity with engineering drawings and a background in design, production, or inspection, including the ability to interpret how parts are represented on drawings.
Materials Provided
Detailed course notes including drawing examples, a workbook with exercises and other printable handouts, quizzes and knowledge checks, and a certificate of course completion.

Standards and Application
The syllabus can be aligned to BS 8888 & ISO GPS or ASME Y14.5, depending on client requirements.
Core Content
Principles, benefits, and standards in context; features of size and size tolerances; datums and datum systems; characteristic symbols, tolerance indicators, modifiers, and profile tolerances.
ISO GPS Route
Includes ISO 8015, ISO 17450, BS 8888, ISO 14405-1, ISO 5459, ISO 1101, ISO 1660, ISO 2768, and ISO 22081, plus Maximum Material Requirement and Bonus Tolerance.
ASME Route
Includes Rule #1, Feature Control Frames, Basic Dimensions, Profile Tolerances, Maximum Material Condition, and Bonus Tolerance within the ASME Y14.5 framework.
Industry Application
Application on combustion engine parts such as cylinder head, piston, camshaft, and flywheel housing, plus suspension parts and industrial machinery components such as cherry picker and fork lift parts.
