Practical Training in GD&T
"Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice"
At GD&T Academy, we believe geometrical tolerancing should be clear, practical and directly useful in industry. We help engineers, designers and inspectors apply ISO GPS, BS 8888 and ASME Y14.5 with confidence.
Our training goes beyond theory. By bridging the gap between theory and practice, we enable a ‘Right First Time’ approach - reducing errors & ambiguity, enabling the efficient design, manufacture and inspection of parts that are fit for purpose.
We deliver both general and sector-specific training - from broad fundamentals to tailored courses for aerospace, medical devices, automotive and energy - always focused on applying GD&T in real-world industry contexts.
Learn how tolerancing connects design, manufacturing, and inspection.
Build confidence with real drawings and components, not just textbook examples.
Explore how standards are interpreted and applied throughout a part’s lifecycle.
Accessible to all industries — from beginners to experienced professionals.

Design Clarity
Manufacturing Conformance
Inspection Accuracy
Quality Improvement
Our Training & Consultancy promotes a 'Right First Time' mindset
Our training goes far beyond theory, with every course built around practical exercises, real-world applications, and component drawings drawn directly from industry. We offer both sector-specific and multi-sector programmes, including:
Geometrical Tolerancing in Practice - Fundamentals (Multi-sector)
Geometrical Tolerancing in Medical Devices
Geometrical Tolerancing in Aerospace
Geometrical Tolerancing in Automotive
Geometrical Tolerancing in Nuclear Energy

Training & Consulting to international standards based on real-world application

What is GD&T?
Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), defined by ASME Y14.5, and Geometrical Product Specification (ISO GPS), defined by ISO standards — collectively known as Geometrical Tolerancing — form the international engineering language used to fully define the geometry of features on parts with clarity and precision.
It communicates design intent, captures functional requirements, and ensures manufactured parts are compatible, interchangeable, and meet global industry standards.
Global Supplier
With experience honed through delivering training to many of the UK’s leading organisations—drawing on the UK’s long-regarded status as a global centre of industrial excellence—GD&T Academy is proud to increasingly offer these expertise to clients across Europe and the world.
We are passionate about advancing manufacturing capability and engineering knowledge throughout the global manufacturing sector.

Our tailored approach ensures relevance to each client’s sector while highlighting transferable best practices across industries. With extensive experience in several sectors, we share proven methods that work in real design, manufacturing, and inspection environments.
Courses are available on-site or online and are always adapted to reflect the nature of the client’s business.
